The GOLDMINER Project began in May of 2009. It was conceived by, and is photographed and written by Sarah Trigg, who is a visual artist, photographer, and writer based in New York. Her book on the project STUDIO LIFE: Rituals, Collections, Tools, and Observations on the Artistic Process was published by Princeton Architectural Press in 2013.

Trigg’s work has been exhibited widely in New York and across the U.S., including at the Neuberger Museum of Art, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and the Weatherspoon Art Museum. She was a Contributing Editor and photographer for Modern Painters and a Contributing Writer and Photographer for New York Magazine’s art blog SEEN. Her writing and photography has been published in numerous publications including blouinartinfo.com, Modern Painters, Art Practical, The Miami Rail and in the international journal Cultural Politics. Her recent painting was featured in the book Virilio Now: Current Perspectives in Virilio Studies. Trigg teaches in the MFA Fine Arts program at the School of Visual Arts.
