Here, RESIDUE is defined as the aftermath of a creative process. The term doesn’t necessarily mean trash nor does it always
indicate the final production phase–it can sometimes be a vital part of an artist’s process. Other times, it is simply
the paint an artist unintentionally drips on to the floor, missing the canvas. This has led me to ask: what are the parallel
equivalents of a residual painting drip in, say, performance, video, or conceptual art?
